DATA SCIENCE

Data Scientists take prepared data sets, usually prepared from raw numbers by Data Engineers, and use those numbers to produce reports and systems that can be useful to the company, product or client. A Data Scientist designs modeling processes creates algorithms, and predictive models to extract the data a business or project needs. They then analyze the data available and share insights and how that can guide the next steps in the process.

As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with Data Engineers and Data Analysts in order to understand what the best use of data is, and to ensure that the data pipeline and architecture are working properly. Data Scientists often take collected data and transform it into a form that can be understood by clients, peers, and others. Some critical skills involved in Data Science include statistical analysis, machine learning, computer science knowledge, programming skills, and the ability to tell stories with data. If you are someone who has business intuition, has strong critical thinking skills, and works well communicating across a diverse audience, then Data Science may be the career for you.
