Yesterday, ESP was among the companies honored at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal‘s luncheon. 30 small companies, 15 medium companies, and 10 large companies were honored, and ESP is pleased to be among the small companies in the metro area to receive this award, measured by discretionary effort, advocacy, and retention.
During the keynote address, Ryan Estis showed the video below, and it reminded me of the unique people who make up our team at ESP who have contributed both to our long-term success and have helped create a great work environment. We may not have people who can invent something like the USB on our in-house staff (though we fully believe they exist among the consultants and IT Pros we place), but we do have people who are committed to their work, being the best they can be, and placing people–our IT pros, our clients, and our internal staff of coworkers–first.
Congratulations to all the companies who received this great honor yesterday! Check out the special publication in today’s business journal, or get a preview of it online.
Among the ‘perks’ ESP employees appreciate about working here are our flexible office hours and untracked vacation, having a voice in the company’s direction, a contemporary downtown office space with windows that open, ergonomic chairs, sit/stand desks by request, mainly private offices, frequent happy hours in our break room/café to celebrate birthday and employment anniversary celebrations, and ‘reward’ events for business successes and landmarks.
