Automation Engineer (Tester)

The Automation Engineer will work closely with our client’s developers and within an agile team to manage the quality of their web and mobile applications. The candidate is responsible for ensuring error-free deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude. Demonstrate a preference for always putting the customer first, and come to work energized.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related degree
  • 2 or more years’ experience in quality assurance test management processes, methodologies, and software test automation strategies
  • Experience with industry standard test automation tools (HP UFT, Selenium, etc.)
  • Experience testing customer-facing applications
  • Flexible and proactive
  • Experience in a fast-paced, adaptive environment
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, including Scrum and Sprint cycles
  • Experience with industry standard test management tools
  • Experience writing test case automation for Xamarin mobile platform apps, preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical testing activities, including:
    • Develop, maintain, execute, and analyze tests to ensure quality of products
    • functional testing of various websites and mobile applications
    • automated execution cycles and executing on an ad-hoc and scheduled basis
    • Improve quality assurance by sharing opportunities and offering direction
    • test management
  • Follow best practices for automation development activities and team priorities and educate on relating performance and testing best practices
  • Collaborate with team members and management to:
    • determine testing requirements and ensure high-quality code releases
    • develop and continuously refine QA processes that are systematic, efficient, effective, and responsive to changing needs
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Deliver on-time, high-quality solutions to internal and external customers
  • Creatively problem solve issues independently and within a team
