We are seeking a QA Specialist to perform a variety of quality control checks and proofreading on publications before they go to business to present to the client, including reading typescript or proof of type setup to ensure text matches the original, detect any grammatical, typographical or compositional errors. The QA may also check accuracy of dimensions, spacing, positioning of copy and illustrations. The person in this role will also be responsible for determining if desired results are obtained, troubleshooting issues or problems found during the quality check, reporting all legitimate issues or problems, and re-checking to ensure issues are resolved.

Job Requirements:

  • Education/Experience:High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of proofreading
  • 6+ months of QA experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Windows, MS Office

    • Acrobat and PitStop
    • Acrobat Distiller
    • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
    • Font Management


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the products and business standards
  • Knowledge of workflow tools and other software used daily
  • Ownership of the quality of the job
  • File is thoroughly checked following the job details and checklist; 99.9% error free
  • Ensure the highest standard of quality is met before releasing the job
  • Identifies potential issues and escalates as appropriate
