Systems/Network Technician

We’re looking a Systems Technician to deploy our client’s new shop systems and to configure hardware and software for acquisitions. The applicant best suited to this position will be willing to travel to integrate new shops to their client’s systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with new shop integrations
    • Configure hardware/software
    • Travel to the client sites
    • Replace existing hardware/software to our client’s standards
    • Meet deadlines
  • Build and maintain shop server image
    • Configure for acquisitions and existing shops as needed (failure/end of life)
  • Primary point of contact 
    • Be point person for local leadership in acquisition market during assigned integrations
  • Implement system change requests 
    • Implement new software, enhancements, new features, production patches)
  • Must be able to relate technical issues and requirements to business issues
    • Communicate clearly to non-technical associates and customers
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve company tools and capabilities
  • Be a team player and assist co-workers as time permits
  • Perform other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a Technology related discipline
  • 2 to 3 years of support-related experience dealing with customers in a technical support environment
  • Highly knowledgeable and experienced with Windows 2008/2012 Server, Windows 7/10, ActiveSync, Active Directory and Microsoft Office 2013/2016
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, Network Connectivity, LAN/WAN
  • Experience configuring software and installing physical hardware
  • Customer service oriented and proven professionalism 
  • Flexible in accommodating customer requirements 
  • Have a flexible schedule dictated by enterprise support issues (sometimes after-hours and weekends)
  • Availability to travel up to twice a month
  • Lift computer hardware (30-50 lbs.)
