We are looking for a Database Developer to support and enhance our client’s current SSIS structure. In addition, this position will apply best practice techniques to new and existing databases, work on database performance tuning, support existing applications and have opportunities for .NET development. 


  • Design, implement, modify  and document database design
  • Document SSIS packages and provide recommendations on other approaches as appropriate
  • Recommend and implement best practices for database design and database tool usage
  • Work closely with infrastructure team to ensure database security is set up in accordance with requirements
  • Work closely with infrastructure team when troubleshooting network-related database performance issues
  • Recommend, use and educate others on tools highlighting best practices, monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
  • Plan, coordinate and lead database upgrade efforts
  • Creates and documents standard naming convention and database design best practices
  • Regularly perform code reviews of database design and stored procedures for new databases
  • Make performance/storage recommendations on existing databases
  • Routinely help troubleshoot any database performance issues as they arise


  • 5+ years of SQL Server database design and stored procedure creation
  • 3+ years of SSIS and SSRS
  • 3+ years of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) / Tabular Model
  • Well-versed in all features of T-SQL language
  • Strong organization skills and documentation skills required
  • Proven database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills required
  • Ability to simplify complex processes and make maintenance of them easier required
  • Database normalization and de-normalization experience required
  • Experience managing source controlled database schemas considered a plus
