A client in the south metro is looking for an up and comer that is motivated to be a part of growth in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for defining, developing, coordinating, and leading cross-functional IT projects, as well as defining and managing internal and external resources necessary to execute project deliverables. The project manager will also be responsible for communicating project status to IT and business management.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities across the systems life cycle of large and small scale projects
  • Lead project teams consisting of internal and external business and technical resources
  • Communicate assigned project roles and responsibilities to team members
  • Meet with key IT & business personnel to clearly define scope, budget and timeline for projects
  • Develop project plans and ensure the quality and timeliness of project deliverables
  • Manage project scope through formal change management procedures
  • Manage training, testing and related quality assurance processes
  • Manage the deployment of applications to a production environment within proper change control
  • Control project costs and complete projects within resource and budgetary constraints
  • Manage and mitigate risks that impact project goals and objectives
  • Manage, resolve and when appropriate, escalate project issues
  • Communicate overall project status to key stakeholders relative to scope, cost and schedule
  • Manage business partner relationships and serve as the liaison between business and technical functions

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferred majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Business)
  • 3-5 years of previous IT project management
  • Experience with HR or Finance systems preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Mastery knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to gather, analyze and organize complex data and processes and arrive at reasonable and carefully substantiated conclusions
  • Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency
